Fave spices to pair with chicken
Chicken is versatile (and tasty!). Here are some of my fave spices for cooking with chicken:
Sumac and Sage Seasoning - My original, versatile seasoning blend. Just sprinkle on chicken to roast, braise or grill for a super simple dinner. Also great on veggies, potatoes, all kinds of meat, plus more.
Cinnamon sticks - A surprisingly tasty complement to chicken! Two recipes on this page. Simmer in an herby braise or broth for a subtly different flavor.
Coriander - Perfect for Indian, Mexican and many other cuisines. Add whole to sautes, soups and stews, or crush slightly and sprinkle over chicken pieces with salt and pepper before roasting.
Aleppo Pepper - a little heat and a whole lotta flavor. Slightly smoky with hints of fruit, it’s perfect on roasted or grilled chicken, stirred into pasta bowls or sprinkled over chicken salad.
