THIS SUNDAY we’re celebrating the first night of Hanukkah, and you’re invited! Join us for a reading of Lemony Snicket’s short story The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming (hilarious for all ages). Plus our Spice Bar will be transformed into a Latke Bar, with free latkes, toppings and mulled apple cider (while supplies last). Local singer-songwriter Steve Gelsi will be playing Hanukkah songs on the guitar (!) and we’ll end by lighting our menorah. Everyone is welcome!
What is your ingredient for a joyous new year? All this week, we’re decorating our tree with your good tidings! Come write down your ingredient for our community-wide Recipe for a Joyous New Year - and we’ll hang it on our tree with all the others! It’s all happening at the Adventure Kitchen Holiday Shop in the historic Hampton House, where there’s always something spicy going on. You can stock up on spices, pick out some gifts, and find something interesting in our Curious Cook’s Bookshop.
