Adventure Kitchen Signs on to Voting Rights Letter
Lynley Jones
This week, Adventure Kitchen joined Apple, Hershey Company, Best Buy, Starbucks and more than 170 companies from across the country in signing a letter to Congress urging the introduction and passage of Voting Rights Act legislation to honor civil rights leader Rep. John Lewis and end discrimination in voting. The letter was sent ahead of the first anniversary of Rep. Lewis’ passing. The legislation would update the 1965 Voting Rights Act to strengthen and protect the right to vote for all eligible Americans.
Organized by Business for America, businesses of all sizes, sectors and regions have come together with the shared commitment to protect voting rights for all Americans and ensure all eligible Americans can freely cast their ballots so that every voice is heard. Signatories include: Google, Mars, PepsiCo, Target and Zoom, among many other familiar corporate names.
“Adventure Kitchen is a very small business, but we’re proud to add our voice to the call for equal access to the voting booth for all Americans,” said Lynley Jones, founder of Adventure Kitchen.
