Our 2018 Donation: Charity:Water

Hello Adventure Kitchen friends!
We give 10% of the profits from sales of our Adventure Kitchen-branded products to food-related charities each year. The specific cause supported by each year’s sales is chosen by the kids in our summer camp.
I'm thrilled to announce that our donation from 2018 sales has gone to:
Charity:Water!
From our Montclair pop-up spice shop, announcing our donation to Charity:Water from 2018 profits. Our business is still very small, and we can't wait to see our donations grow along with us as the years go by!
About Charity:Water
Charity:Water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. They have consistently received the highest grades available for accountability and transparency, and because private donors cover their operating costs, 100% of our donation is helping to fund water projects.
The organization’s mission is audacious: to bring clean water to every person living without it. A lack of clean water not only leads to health and safety issues, but also perpetuates gender and social inequities. Without a source of clean water nearby, people (usually women and girls) have to walk - sometimes for hours - to get clean water for the family. This duty precludes them from getting an education or gaining economic independence.

When you purchase any Adventure Kitchen-branded products in our shop, 10% of profits always go to a food-related cause.
During the four weeks of our summer camp this year, campers will vote to choose the cause our 2019 profits will support. They’ll choose between hunger relief, clean water, disaster relief, child hunger, sustainable agriculture and economic development. Once the votes are tallied, this fall we’ll announce the charity we’ll donate to from our 2019 profits.
